Project Details
Revealing the relations between surface atomistic coordination and electrochemical performance of CCSS towards HER (B02)
Subject Area
Synthesis and Properties of Functional Materials
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 506711657
B02 will reveal the elemental distribution on the surface and grain boundaries of selected CCSS systems at the atomic scale in the as-deposited state and after annealing. It will provide a thorough analysis of atomistic configurations such as nanoclusters or nanoscale chemical modulations on the surface and at grain boundaries with corresponding adsorbates before and after the hydrogen evolution reaction. Additionally, B02 will correlate atomic-scale compositional analysis with electrochemical properties, thereby identifying which SAA yield optimal electrochemical properties.
