The Leibniz Institute for Media Research "Hans-Bredow-Institut" (HBI) supports the open access transformation in science and aims to increase the volume of open access publications at the HBI. To achieve this goal, the HBI will set up a publication fund and an information budget. It will also establish a central open access advisory service within the library and create corresponding structures at the institute. The DFG funding is intended to support the financing of the open access transformation and relieve the publication fund.
