The evaluation of the Early Bronze Age pottery from Hirbet ez-Zeraquon focussed on two principle aspects, type chronology and function. For the typo-chronological analysis, the pottery was classified according to shapes, fabrics and decorations, and the internal chronological development was investigated. [...] The second aspect was addressed by a functional analysis of the ensembles of restorable pots found "in situ" in the buildings of the last urban phase of Hirbet ez-Zeraquon. An assortment of 266 vessels including every type formed quite a good collection on which to base this investigation.
