We plan to calculate the double beta decay nuclear matrix elements in TDA und RPA. The results enable us to investigate the dependence of the nuclear matrix elements on the shapes (equilibrium deformation) of the nuclei which can undergo by decay. The numerical calculations will be performed using the Tübingen VAMPIR approach. The results will be applied to investigate the nature of the neutrino (Dirac- or Majorana-Neutrino) and to find constraints for the neutrino mass. Then, in the planning period, we will investigate low-lying 1-dipole excitations generated by forces restoring Galilean invariance of the static pairing field in well deformed heavy nuclei. The double beta-decay can test new physics beyond the standard model of the electroweak and the strong interaction, if one has reliably solved the nuclear many body problem.
