Scanning tunneling spectroscopy of supported clusters

We will investigate the electronic structure of metal clusters and C60 on insulating films and metals using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy in an ultra-high vacuum environment. Clusters will be prepared by gas-phase deposition and by manipulation of individual adatoms with the STM.
