Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 540869726
The PP2491 “Interactive spin-state switching” aims at a systematic investigation of the impact of the surroundings on spin-state switching and vice versus. To achieve these goals and to bring German science to the cutting edge of this field, this PP brings together scientists from all over Germany from the fields of coordination chemistry, surface deposition and characterization, time-resolved optical and X-ray spectroscopies, and theory to focus their research and to connect the scientists from the different disciplines. Only a strong collaboration between the different disciplines in interdisciplinary research projects can realize the targeted in-depth understanding of switching processes. We aim to have a vivid exchange within and between participating consortia of the PP. The measures planned in the coordination project are designed to foster the interaction between the participating groups, and to invite further groups to join the initiative, in particular young PIs and female PIs. The coordination project of the PP2491 will cover five different areas to promote interaction, visibility, and personal development of junior researchers. It will (i) foster the networking between participating groups, (ii) increase international visibility, (iii) define uniform concepts for data storage, (iv) support the personal and scientific advancement of young PhD students and (v) provide a teaching and training platform for advanced time-resolved structural techniques.
