Synthesis of Defined, Chiral 2D Covalent Organic Frameworks (A10*)

The project will focus on the synthesis of defined chiral COFs. We will develop a new type of cross-linking 2D polymerization of a monocyclic COF-monomer, allowing for a systematic radial growth to give 2D COF-oligomers with defined lateral (X-/Y-) dimension, followed by post-synthetic doping of the materials using enantiopure organocatalysts and use thereof in asymmetric catalysis.
