Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 5456267
The project aims to develop a methodology and technology for the appropriate selection and development of mechatronic handling devices able to accomplish certain micro- and/or nanooperation task. To this purpose a lot of partial goals have to be achieved, with respect to: developing of a task oriented method as well as tools for modeling, simulation, design, control and experimental investigation of mechatronic handling devices for micro- and nano-applications. As basis actuation element piezo ceramic structures integrated into the mechatronic System will be utilized and further developed. Two examples of application, in bio-science and chemistry are foreseen for a further phase (cell manipulations and electrochemical impedance technique).Specific single- and multilayer design approach of piezo actuated mechatronic handling devices for micro- and nano-operations will be developed based an the method for piezo structures synthesis and an approach for solving the design problems transformed into parameter optimization problems. Comparison study of the mechatronic handling device prototypes will be performed using obtained experimental results. They aim to improve the mathematical and simulation models. Automated and teleoperated control approaches for the mechatronic handling devices will be developed based an the different scaling approaches and techniques and real time control applications.
