This book presents the results of the third international study on confirmation work (www.confirmation-research.eu). Almost 10,000 confirmands from nine European countries reported their experiences in the 2021/22 confirmation year. These results are compared with the results of the first (2007/08) and second (2012/13) international studies. Country-specific reports provide insights into the state of confirmation work during the pandemic and afterwards. Systematic chapters deal with current discussions on gender issues, digitalisation and confirmands who are distanced from the church. More than twenty scholars from participating countries contribute their knowledge to current confirmation work. All results are embedded in the light of a new quality approach based on confirmand feedback.
