Project Details
TFB 22: Rollreibgesetze und deren Parameteridentifikation für gummiartige Materialien
Subject Area
Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
Term
from 1999 to 2002
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 5484077
The aim of this transfer centre is the determination of material parameters for interface models describing the dry and wet friction of rolling tires. The research programme includes:(1) Selection of a class of friction equations with hierarchical order for the rolling contact between tires and dry roadway (concrete or asphalt).(2) Identification of the material parameters based on experimental data taking into account the inhomogenities of the specimen; sensitivity analysis for 2D-systems.(3) Numerical stress analysis of rubber blocks in a linear friction test unit and in the Grosch abrader test unit, respectively.(4) Verification of the friction model with selected experimental data for stationary rolling tires by complete friction contact analysis of the 3D-systems.(5) Consideration of uncertainties.(6) Selection of a class of friction models with seperated terms for adhesion and hysteresis; identification of the material parameters under consideration of additional input parameters (e.g. wet roadway).
