Continuation of a powerful and internationally embedded state-of-the-art focus in the fields of high-throughput genetics and functional genomics at Saarland University to perform genome-wide studies (genotyping, DNA methylation) based on the immediate needs of several renowned clinical and basic science research groups. Genome-wide (i) genotyping, (ii) copy-number variations (CNVs), and (iii) methylation of the highest quality should be able to be continued on site in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to maintain international cooperation and integration into research networks and to form the basis for new research approaches at the UdS, e.g. in the field of clinical Covid/post-Covid research.
