Project Details
The Role of Disorder on Coherent Excited State Transport in N-Heteropolycycles (B10*)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Molecules, Liquids and Interfaces, Biophysical Chemistry
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
This project aims to disclose the dynamic optical properties of emerging organic semiconductors. With our novel coherent transient holographic nanoscope (coherent HoloScope), we will investigate the spatial dependence of photoinduced kinetics in N-heteropolycycles (NHPCs) expanding on nanometer distances in the coherent time regime of ballistic transport. We will explore the links between molecular packing, interfacial charge injection and in-plane transport of the excited state population in ordered and disordered thin films of NHPCs, at NHPCs-acceptor and NHPCs-metal interfaces.
