High-volume production of individualised, graded and variantrich laminates for combined manufacturing chains (A02)

Subproject A02 focuses on researching the production technology to create functionally graded unidirectional (UD) fibrereinforced laminates through laser-assisted, automated tape placement with in-situ consolidation, using various types of UD-reinforced, graded UD-reinforced, and monolithic thermoplastic tapes. A strong research focus lies in the process/structure/property-interrelationships during the manufacturing process of graded laminates. The project further generates quality and process data and develops algorithms to control the manufacturing execution.
