Project Details
Dedicated edge zone characteristics for pultruded fibre-reinforced polymer and ceramic profiles (B04)
Subject Area
Plastics Engineering
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 525069572
Professor Drossel's research focuses on the development and investigation of an adaptive extrusion-based pultrusion process, incorporating matrix and fibre grading across the cross-section of fibre-reinforced plastic profiles, as well as edge zone variability for locally stressed transition areas. Dr. Roder's research is centred on material genesis, the examination of elementary active processes and the analysis and evaluation of pultrusion profiles in the polymer, carbon, and ceramic state, resulting from thermal post-treatment.
