A02 studies the formation and decay of collective states arising from the strong coupling of light and excitons in mol2Dmat heterostructures featuring various dimensionalities and disorder. The project employs broadband two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy to study the effects of disorder and probe the coherent dynamics of collective states. The ultimate aim is to determine the near-field coupling between excited states, identify the microscopic dissipation channels of correlated states, and control their dynamics via molecular synthesis.
