A05 studies the structures of mol2Dmat heterostructures with atomic resolution using fast electrons and observes novel species like polyhalide chains in 2D materials by imaging and local spectroscopy. It will measure the dispersion of plasmon- and exciton-polaritons with momentum, energy, and spatial resolution using electron energy loss spectroscopy in a scanning transmission electron microscopy, providing atomically-resolved structures, imaging the electrostatic potential, and accessing excited states of mol2Dmat heterostructures for the entire CRC.
