The project includes the qualification of laser-assisted clinching for the targeted adjustment of the electrical joint properties with the aim of achieving versatility. The bonding mechanisms are changed in a defined manner by treating the joint at low temperature, thereby adjusting the resulting mechanical-thermal-electrical properties of the joint. The work program includes the identification of suitable parameter spaces for the pre-treatment, the design of the joining process including plant technology and process monitoring as well as the modeling and software implementation of the electrical connection properties.
