Quantifying podocyte damage at the single-cell level and in tissue context (C04)

C4 will utilize a single cell damage score (PDS) that quantifies the damage of individual podocytes based on scRNA-sequencing data. Using this PDS the project will (1) establish molecular damage signatures that are characteristic of specific FSGS sub-types, (2) investigate the cross-talk between cells that localize to the same glomerulus, and (3) explore the prognostic potential of the PDS and PDS-derived pathway signatures.
