The first objective contains the investigation of carrier band-gap dynamics on a time scale of a few hundred attoseconds in silicon. To this aim the existing attosecond beamline shall be upgraded and validated by a first proof of concept measurement. The main subject of the project is attosecond transient absorption spectroscopy on SrTiO3 photocatalytic samples and the aim to resolve hot carrier dynamics after excitation. As a second objective the variability of the new beamline will be used to extend our measurement possibilities to attosecond transient reflection spectroscopy. In order to test the setup, we will perform a measurement in a known system, Germanium, regarding ultrafast carrier dynamics.
