Project Details
Naturally Derived Photocycloaddition Chromophores and Macromolecules for Visible Light-enabled and Catalyst-free Soft Matter Material Synthesis
Subject Area
Preparatory and Physical Chemistry of Polymers
Term
since 2026
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 573118432
The key objective of the project is the development of a sustainable photochemical soft matter materials platform based on the initial small molecule building blocks and polymer systems derived from renewable resources. Exploiting the methodologies of wavelength-resolved photochemistry, the project aims to apply the photochemical materials platform in a range of contemporary applications including bio-based photoreactive adhesives, light-driven printing inks and light-induced particles as well as hydrogels.
