Project Details
LC-HRMS for lipid-containing samples
Subject Area
Medicine
Term
Funded in 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 575031346
The proposal for the device is part of the tenure negotiations for the W3 professorship for Experimental Pharmacology for Natural Sciences at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and thus represents essential support for the strategic and structural development of the working group. The acquisition of the device will strengthen the methodological capabilities of the working group following its establishment at Martin Luther University, in particular the ongoing and future projects focusing on “Cell metabolism in chronic inflammatory and cancerous diseases” and “Pathomechanisms in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).” In addition, the purchase of the requested device strengthens cooperation with other working groups at the Institute of Pharmacy and the Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, as well as the Faculty of Medicine. The device enables state-of-the-art lipid analysis of cells and tissues. With its focus on lipidomic studies, the requested device will provide the working groups at Martin Luther University with technology that was previously unavailable at the university and will significantly strengthen Martin Luther University's research focus on molecular biosciences.
