Subject Area
Practical Philosophy
Term
since 2026
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 549839646
The philosophical project A02 [react:in] provides a systematic, fine-grained conceptual and normative analysis of reactive attitudes and emotions of injustice in educational contexts (EoIEC). Based on philosophical theories of emotion, A02 provides an analytical framework to systematically analyze EoIEC and their relations to moral, social, and educational norms. A02 distinguishes between three types of EoIEC: (I) emotions of anger at injustice, (II) emotions of misrecognition, and (III) emotions of exclusion. With reference to theories of epistemic and affective injustice A02 critically discusses justice-relevant dimensions of EoIEC and thereby contributes to a theory of Teilhabe (p+b) from the perspective of emotions.
