The applied project consists of two parts. Both parts start with the synthesis of fundamental compounds (imido- and nitrido-sulfates, hydrazin-sulfonic acids) as the base for further investigations. For the development of preparative methods we use the findings and experiences of our preliminary work. In course of our project both class of compounds will be used for the synthesis of new materials. In particular, we will implement transition and rare earth metals, in order to initiate interesting phenomena like magnetism and luminescence. All of the obtained compounds will be characterized comprehensively. For the synthesis, we will explicitly benefit from our experience with speciel techniques, like reactions with neat SO3, in situ crystallization, and high pressure chemistry.
