Term
since 2026
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 548244816
Methods for architectural applications will be developed which use the data on material properties. Innovative digital design and fabrication processes will be examined, including finite element methods for design as well as additive manufacturing and robotic machining for fabrication through which precise manipulation of growth conditions of F. fomentarius shall be possible. Furthermore, the integration of material data into Building Information Modelling workflows is explored. Architectural demonstrators will be designed and built for empirical research on user experience.
