The main objective of this project is to develop an electrically pumped organic polariton laser diode by integrating lateral confinement and micropatterned electrode geometries. Systematically downscaling device dimensions and incorporating patterned electrode layouts—such as four-spot and ring-shaped pumping configurations—will allow a significant reduction of the lasing threshold while sustaining strong light–matter coupling. A hybrid pumping system combining optical and electrical excitation will be established to quantitatively determine the electrical and optical contributions to reach the lasing threshold.
