single crystal X-ray diffractometer (renewal)

We request funding for the renewal of the single-crystal X-ray diffractometer that went into operation in 2017. Specifically, the existing X-ray sources are to be replaced by modern high-performance microfocus sources. The aim of the upgrade is to adapt the performance class of the diffractometer to the current requirements of the Institute of Chemistry and thus extend the lifetime of the device. More powerful X-ray sources will enable crystals to be measured that cannot be measured with the existing equipment or that produce measurement data that do not meet the quality standards required for publication. The upgrade is intended to strengthen the research focus of both the Institute of Chemistry and the Faculty of Natural Sciences in a sustainable and long-term manner.
