Project Details
Electron-Phonon Interaction in Semiconductor Nanostructures (A06)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2008 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 43659573
The main focus is in a deeper understanding of the electron-phonon interaction in single quantum dots mainly based on nitrides. We correlate nanoscopic methods like tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, scanning transmission electron microscopy cathodoluminescence spectroscopy, spatially and time-resolved photo- and cathodoluminescence spectroscopy as well as cross- and autocorrelation experiments. This unique combination of advanced spectroscopic methods enables us to investigate the electron-phonon coupling with a spatial resolution better than 20 nm (5 nm). As an application we investigate room-temperature single-photon emitters and deep UV lasers based on nitrides.
