The main experimental tool for studying strongly interacting matter at high temperature is the collision of relativistic heavy nuclei. This project focuses on the QCD prediction for a range of observables that play an important role in the interpretation of experimental results. The electric conductivity of the quark-gluon plasma controls the evolution of the initially high magnetic fields as well as the thermal dilepton production. The melting pattern of quarkonium is potentially an indicator of the plasma temperature. The shear and bulk viscosities enter into the hydrodynamical description of the plasma expansion. Fluctuations of conserved charges freeze at the point of break-up and can be used as freeze-out baryo- and thermometers. We also confront the Hadron Resonance Gas model to lattice data, analyze its sensitivity to the resonance spectrum especially focusing on unknown or unconfirmed resonances.
