Final Report Abstract
In conclusion, the current study provides behavioural and neurophysiological evidence for a functional and anatomical distinction between selection and updating within working memory. Our results support a generic working memory model based on interactions between attentional and mnemonic systems by showing that these two operations that control the working memory content recruit dissociable neural substrates that have previously been related to attention and memory.
