2D und 3D In-situ-characterization of deformation and damage (B05)

Subject Area Mechanical Properties of Metallic Materials and their Microstructural Origins
Term from 2008 to 2020
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 54473466

The aim of the in situ 2D characterization techniques is the determination of the kinetics of deformation mechanisms as well as of the local strengthening and deformation behaviour of individual microstructural components as a contribution for the interpretation of the strain-hardening behaviour. The aim of the in situ 3D characterization is the investigation of triggering stresses for the martensitic phase transformations within the steel matrix as well as within the ZrO2 ceramic using compression tests in a computer tomograph in combination with local phase analysis by electron-backscattered diffraction.
