Project Details
Nanoscale regulation of small GTPase switches at the trans-Golgi network/recycling endosomal interface (A20)
Subject Area
Biochemistry
Term
since 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 278001972
Polarized sorting of receptors and signaling molecules is essential for cellular homeostasis in epithelial cells. In project A20 N we will investigate the role of switches of the ARF family of GTPases in polarized post-Golgi trafficking. Taking advantage of live-cell super-resolution imaging, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and mass-spectrometry we aim at dissecting the role of the various ARFs in post-Golgi sorting and their role in communication between the closely juxtaposed trans-Golgi network (TGN) and recycling endosomal compartments.
