A Lexicon of Gnostic Mythologumena

I'd like to complete the current project Lexicon of Gnostic Mythologumena, that deals with the material from the (Coptic) original writings, with a second volume dedicated to the results from the Greek and Latin heresiological literature. This volume is conceived in parallel with the first one. It will provide an overview of the similarities and variance of different versions of Gnostic myths. A third volume will contain the actual lexicon, that refers to the original texts as well as to the results from the heresiological literature. The lexicon of Gnostic mythologumena should be a tool for the study of Gnostic writings, that enables its users to examine mythological elements in their context. It is an inventory of the single mythological elements we encounter in these writings. The lexicon is an analytical tool which will render a further synthesis with regard to the phenomenon of Gnosticism and its particular expressions possible.
