We intend to investigate the transport properties of nanostructures with complex topologiesunder non-equilibrium conditions in terms of the full counting statistics (aka FCS) of chargeand spin transport. The nanostructures in question are: (i) the single impurity Andersonmodel (SIAM) coupled to two electrodes, where the electron transport can occur not onlyby tunnelling over the impurity itself but also directly between the electrodes; (ii) doublequantum dot modelled by two SIAMs arranged in parallel. An inclusion of a magneticfield is expected to lead to Aharonov-Bohm physics in both set-ups allowing for a uniquecontrol of their transport characteristics. While in the set-up (i) we expect to observe distinctsignatures of the interplay of Fano–Anderson effect and interaction on the dot, in the setup(ii) the combined effect of interactions and Aharonov–Bohm physics may alter or evendestroy the balance between the single particle and electron pair processes known fromthe FCS of the conventional SIAM.
