Effects of feed additives and probiotics on the dynamics of E.coli populations and the anti-inflammatory immune response in the swine gut (A03)

In diesem Projekt soll der Einfluss von Zink und zwei probiotischen Stämmen, Enterococcus faecium NCIMB 10415 und transgener E. coli Nissle 1917, auf die Diversität und Dynamik intestinaler E. coli-Populationen untersucht werden. Das Auftreten pathogener und kommensaler E. coli Klone wird sowohl in vivo (Schwein und Maus) als auch in vitro bestimmt. Die Expression von E. coli Genen (Hämolysin, Adhäsine) wird mit der erfolgreichen Darmbesiedlung verglichen, um die Dynamik intestinaler E.coli besser zu verstehen. Weiterhin soll der Einfluss von E. coli Nissle auf die Immunantwort in Schweinen bestimmt werden.
