In this project the bulk Fermiology of iron pnictides shall be investigated by means of de Haas-van Alphen and Shubnikov-de Haas measurements. Both super-conducting as well as non-superconducting materials will be studied in static fields up to 20 T and pulsed fields beyond 70 T. Besides the Fermi-surface topology, the band-resolved effective masses and many-body interactions as well as the charge-carrier mean-free paths shall be determined. By that we will provide input and test for the theoretical predictions of state-of-the-art band-structure calculations. Resolving magnetic quantum oscillations in the mixed state of superconductivity will allow to probe for possible band-gap anisotropies. The outcome will serve as foundation for theories on the nature of the superconducting state in the iron pnictides.
