Final Report Abstract

Ziel des Gesamtprojekts war die Erstellung und Publikation einer wissenschaftlichen Edition des hebräischen Textes des Samaritanischen Pentateuch. Obgleich der Samaritanische Pentateuch zu den wichtigsten Textgrundlagen der alttestamentlichen Wissenschaft und der Althebraistik gehört, fehlte bislang eine Ausgabe, die wissenschaftlichen Anforderungen genügt. Die vorliegende Ausgabe beruht auf der ältesten Handschriftenüberlieferung des Samaritanischen Pentateuch (12.-14. Jh. n.Chr.), berücksichtigt die samaritanischen Übersetzungen des Pentateuch (Samaritanischer Targum und Samaritanisch-arabische Übersetzung) sowie die liturgische Pentateuchlesung der Samaritaner und bietet Parallelen zum Samaritanus aus Septuaginta, Peschitta und Qumranhandschriften. Der Projektabschnitt C (2016–2019) galt der kritischen Edition des Buches Deuteronomium in der Überlieferung des Samaritanischen Pentateuch.
