Project Details
Invasive Run-Time Support System (iRTSS) (C01)
Subject Area
Computer Architecture, Embedded and Massively Parallel Systems
Term
from 2010 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 146371743
Investigated is operating-system support for invasive applications. The third funding phase focuses on the enforcement of required quality criteria of mixed criticality as to timing and energy consumption by means of application-oriented resource allocation strategies as well as mechanisms at iRTSS level. This includes a timing analysis of the Agent System. Emphasis is also on the control of background noise (i.e. indirect overhead) of OctoPOS functions that provide transparent access to the different main-memory subsystems of the PGAS (partitioned global address space) model as defined for invasive computing.
