TFB 59:  Transformability in Multi Variant Serial Production

Subject Area Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
Computer Science, Systems and Electrical Engineering
Term from 2005 to 2008
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 18508968

Within the Transfer Unit the methods and models that have been developed in Collaborative Research Centre 467 Transformable Corporate Structures of Multi Variant Serial Production are to be tested concerning applicability together with competent industry partners. A transfer of concrete single solutions and, in addition, interlaced partial models is to be put into practical application. In order to have results in a foreseeable period, the focus is put on the methods and models for the increase short and to medium-term transformation ability and the working system (technology and organisation). The feedback of the results of the Transfer Unit takes place continuously and binarily, in the sense of a feedback into the bases of the Collaborative Research Centre 467 and at the same time into in the context of the transfer project T1 where the Learning factory for advanced Industrial Engineering (aIE) is being developed. In this learning factory for aIE the results of all subprojects T2 to T5 are integrated in such a way that best practice examples from the industry are available. At the same time the basis is created for the application of the results of the Collaborative Research Centre 467 in other enterprises.-- T1: Objective of this subproject is to develop a learning factory for advanced Industrial Engineering (aIE) and to use it for the broad transfer of the know-how concerning transformation ability into industry. The learning factory for aIE is a basic module of a concept of post graduate training.-- T2: The subproject aims at the prototypical realisation and the use of methods and tools of digital factory technologies for the achievement of economic transformation ability in small and medium sized enterprises.-- T3: This subproject aims at creating mechatronic self-sufficient machine modules for (re-)configurable machining systems by introducting new system borders of machine modules.-- T4: Objective of the subproject is the introduction and accompanying evaluation of a comprehensive group development process within the assembly area of the cooperation partner where 35 selfadjusting working groups are active.-- T5: The subproject deals with the procedure for participative change communication. It works on the three levels changeable integration management, interest and resource management integratively: The procedure of participative change communication combines the development of communication strategies enhancing acceptance innovatively with the optimisation of information integration, interest organisation and resources support of the personnel. By this procedure the efficiency increase of the change is coupled with the improved inclusion of the involved staff and the sustainable conversion of the change process is strengthened.
