Final Report Abstract
We have determined that Lyn-deficient PC are hyper-responsive to the two survival factors we have tested, IL3 and IL6. This hyper-responsiveness manifests as significantly extended survival and increased phosphorylation of the STAT molecules downstream of their receptors. We have shown that Lyn is a negative regulator of PC survival and that identification of the pathways it regulates will reveal therapeutic targets that will permit the depletion of pathogenic PC in autoimmune patients.
