Studying the molecular mechanisms underlying transcription regulation by the NSL complex. (P23)

Subject Area Cell Biology
Term from 2011 to 2018
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 26068018

We are interested in studying chromatin and epigenetic regulation mediated by MOF histone acetyltransferase associated complexes. Biochemical purifications led us to isolate a novel NSL complex (non-specific lethal) associated with MOF, which acts as a major regulator of housekeeping gene expression. In the next funding period, we plan to build on our findings and systematically address the role of the NSL complex inside and outside of the nucleus in males and females.
