Project Details
Increase of the filtration efficiency of ceramic deep bed filters by tailoring of adhesion mechanism (B01)
Subject Area
Chemical and Thermal Process Engineering
Term
from 2011 to 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 169148856
The third funding period focuses on the effect of the surface modification by the formation of the in-situ layer on the nanobubble population, on the impact of generated and introduced microbubbles on the formation, properties and process behavior of hetero-coagulates and the consequences of these phenomena for the filtration behavior. Particle interactions during sintering will be further characterized applying HT-AFM. The combination of filtration with the results of the agglomeration kinetics, will extend the existing separation model. The designed encapsulated precoat-filter will be subject of a transfer project.
