Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

The funded research project comprised two sub-topics in the field of cooperative effects in biological systems. From the present perspective the outcome is very satisfying with the main objectives being either already fulfilled or to be reached in the nearer future. The α-Synuclein – membrane interaction study is still ongoing. Also it should be mentioned that the AH-peptide project has initiated a project on a similar model system to study the activity of the enzyme phospholipase A2. This enzyme could be a potential biomarker for Alheimer’s disease as its activity in the cerebrospinal fluid seems to be dependent of the state of this desease. This sub-project was not foreseen when the application for funding of this research stay was written.
