Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
The aim of synthesizing re-mendable materials from liquid crystalline cellulose derivatives was fulfilled. A broad variety of cellulosic dienes with optimized properties was synthesized. The self-healing ability was achieved by the Diels-Alder (DA) and the retro Diels-Alder (rDA) reaction between these dienes and bismaleimides. New methods were found to monitor these reactions. A self-healing survey gave proof of the re-mendability by healing a crack in a sample pellet.
