Subject Area
Production Systems, Operations Management, Quality Management and Factory Planning
Term
from 2012 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 33237764
In the third funding period, subproject C05 applies the findings on the division of labor between users and producers in the innovation process to the management of user innovation communities. From the PSS-producer¿s perspective, user innovation communities are platforms from which user knowledge can be acquired and used for new product development and improvement. Based on theoretical models and empirical studies, subproject C05 derives managerial implications that support PSS producers in directing and pacing innovation generation in external communities. By leveraging user knowledge, PSS can be improved and the market position of producers can be strengthened.
