Project Details
Clinical translational Unit (Z02)
Subject Area
Clinical Neurology; Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology
Term
from 2012 to 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 213904703
This central project is the basis for human clinical translation in this CRC. The aim of project Z02 is to offer a platform for „proof-of-concept“ clinical studies and for infrastructure and biomaterial collection supporting scientific projects in order to strengthen their translational aspects. Specifically, we will offer a customized and comprehensive analysis of cellular as well as non-cellular biomaterials. Histology as well as biobanking will remain as infrastructural and service pillars. In addition, human MR imaging, modern transcriptomics and proteomics will be further pillars in the central platform. This platform is crucial for bridging the gap between preclinical, mechanistic approaches and pure clinical research.
