The integrated graduate school aims at educating the young academics in the field of signal transduction by fatty acid derivatives and sphingolipids. The educational program with seminars, practical courses, colloquia, summer school and spring meeting focuses specifically on the primary subjects of the SFB and is supplemented by courses on general skills. The close contact between principle investigators and PhD students, and the common education of medical students and students of natural science intents to promote interdisciplinary integration, early independence and translational approaches.
