Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

Systematic investigation of the structural evolution in the shape transition regions of even-even nuclei from Er to Pt via fast timing lifetime measurements of excited nuclear states were done. They were performed using conversion electron-LaBr3(Ce) and Ge gated LaBr3(Ce)-LaBr3 (Ce) coincidences. Several lifetimes of low-lying states that had large uncertainties or were still unknown were obtained. They allowed the determination of absolute transition rates, mainly B(E2) values of low-spin yrast states. They were used for comparison with several theoretical models including theoretical studies applying the interacting boson model based on microscopic mean field methods.
