The idea pursued here is to set up an analytical model and to find the interface elastic-brittle debonding for a unit cell of the bi-material structure (idealized rectangular part of wind rotor blade or MEMS) as a result of transverse crack in the first layer. Excitations on the unit bi-material cell are specified as surface strain, electric potential, temperature, and/or moisture concentration on the top layer (transversal isotropic with piezo property), interlaminar (interface isotropic elastic line), and bottom layer (elastic). Then, it becomes possible to determine the value of the combined load at which the elastic-brittle interface delamination begins to grow up as a function of the mechanical and electric external loads. Numerical examples are demonstrated for problems of hygrothermal, hygropiezoelastic, thermolelastic behaviours of the structure of bi-material plates with final lengths.
