Term
from 2013 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 57444011
During the last CRC-phase the regional palaeoclimate model WRF-CEMSYS has been developed and successfully applied for the first time to provide high-resolution regional palaeoclimate data for studies on human presence under glacial conditions in Europe (Maier et al. 2016). In the 3rd Phase E6 will focus on reconstructing regional climates for time slices that are of key interest to the CRC-projects and on investigating the potentials and limiting factors (favourable and unfavourable conditions) for human presence in the whole CRC study area. Multiple time scales will be considered, ranging from synoptic, seasonal, annual, inter-annual, and decadal to centennial.
