Methane dynamics of Eurasian peatlands: Environmental controls on linear and non-linear pathways of CH4 emissions
Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
Zwei Messfelder in borealen Mooren wurden betrieben, Salmisuo, Finnland, und Ust-Pojeg, Russland. Auf beiden Messfeldern wurden Eddy Kovarianzanlagen mit Kammermessungen zu Methanemissionen verschnitten, über hochaufgelöste Luftbilder und Vegetationskartierungen hochskaliert und mit mechanistischen Modellen verglichen. Teilweise erhebliche Abweichungen deuteten auf methodische Probleme hin, die in der Gruppe insbesondere in Bezug auf 1) Nichtlineare vs. lineare Regressionsmodelle in der Emissionsberechnung; 2) Vergleich Kammer – Eddy-Kovarianzmessverfahren in der Aufskalierung,; und 3) Einfluss der Messzeiten (Tag oder Nacht) und kurzfristigen Ereignisse auf die Emissionsdynamik untersucht und veröffentlicht wurden. Insgesamt wurden die Ergebnisse der Emmy Noether Gruppe in 18 ISI-Publikationen und mehr als 20 Konferenzbeiträgen veröffentlicht, ein Kurzbericht lief im Wissenschaftsmagazin „Nano“ von 3sat.
